Introduction
This privacy policy is part of the Terms ofUse for the Safestate Services, and our data protection addendum, whichprovides information regarding the procedures for collecting, using, anddisclosing your personal data. Users can access the Safestate service (the“Service”) through the website portal.safestate.com.
In this Privacy Policy, “Device” shall meanany computer, terminal, mobile or other electronic devices, from which you cangain access to the Services and “Personal data” shall mean any data relating toan identified or identifiable natural person. All forms of information(including Personal data) described below are collectively referred to as“data”.
Collecting Information
Safestate collect and process Personal datain different ways and for different purposes. Safestate AB, reg. nr.559285-1959, is the data controller for this processing activity.
Information provided by the user when registering for the Service.
When you register an account atSafestate.com, you will be asked to submit your Personal data such as yourname, and e-mail address. We will also collect billing related information.
Information collected while using the Service.
When you use the Service, your activity usingthe Services will automatically be stored. This Information may include theInternet Protocol (“IP”) address of your Device, browser type, the web pagevisited before you came to the Safestate website, information on your searchfor the Safestate website, identification, numbers associated with yourDevices, your mobile carrier, local preferences, date, and time stampsassociated with your transactions, system configuration information, metadataconcerning your files and other interactions with the Service. We will alsocollect usage-based activity data (e.g frequency of usage, activatedfunctionality) to create an aggregated analysis of our customers’ usage patternin order to improve the Service.
Processing Personal Data
The Personal data that Safestate collectsfrom you will be used for the following purposes.
Making the Service available to you: We process your Personal data in order to provide the Service to you,including administering your use, providing reports, personalizing, andimproving your experience of the Service and to provide support, updates,information, or other notifications regarding the Service, providing advice onbest practice usage and to administer billing and other aspects of ourcontractual agreement, including dispute resolution. The legal basis for thisprocessing is that it is necessary in order for us to provide you with theService, which you have requested.
Improving the Service: We also process your Personal data to improve the Service by monitoringand analysing your use. The legal basis for this processing is that it isnecessary for our legitimate interest in developing the Service.
Customized advertising and direct marketing:We may also use your Personal data to send customizedadvertising, event invitations and other commercial communications. The legalbasis for this processing is that it is necessary for our legitimate interestin maintaining good customer relations. You may at any time unsubscribe fromany of these activities.
Results: Your useof the Service will generate reports containing Information regarding yourwebsite. All reports generated as part of the Service will be stored bySafestate for the purpose of making the reports available to you. The reportsmay be deleted by you at any time. A report could include Personal data if theService gets access to it during security testing. Safestate act as a dataprocessor in these events, and thus not as a data controller.
For how long do we process your Personal data?
If you have entered into an agreement with uswhere we provide the Service, we will process your Personal data during theterm of our agreement and for a period of up to 3 months thereafter. After suchperiod, we will anonymize or delete your Personal data.
After account deactivation or a deletionrequest, your Personal data will be retained for up to 3 months as part ofback-up procedures.
Notwithstanding the above, we may keepcertain Personal data for a longer period if necessary, in order to comply withapplicable law (including book-keeping requirements), or, in the event of alegal dispute, for the time necessary for the legal process. If so, we will notuse your Personal data for any other purposes.
Report data has a standard retention time ofup to 3 months.
Sharing of Personal data
Sub Processors
To provide the Safestate service to you weuse a number of Sub-processors for your Personal data. This includes technologyproviders, financial service providers, administrative systems. They willreceive Personal data based on the need for the performing of their task. Afull list of Sub-processors is included in our data protection addendum .
Non-private or Non-Personal data
Safestate may disclose, and make public,aggregated, anonymized information, such as usage statistics of the Service.
Legal Disclosure
Safestate will not disclose the customer’sdata to law enforcement except when instructed by you or where it is requiredby law. When governments make a lawful demand for customer data from Safestate,Safestate strives to limit the disclosure. Safestate will only release specificdata mandated by the relevant legal demand.
Transfer of Data
Safestate does not sell, trade, or otherwisetransfer to outside parties any personally identifiable information.
This does not include trusted third partiesor subcontractors who assist us in operating our website, conducting ourbusiness, or servicing you. Such trusted parties may have access to personallyidentifiable information on a need-to-know basis and will be contractuallyobliged to keep your information confidential.
Your rights as a data subject
Changing information
You may review, update, correct or delete thePersonal data provided in your registration or account profile by changing your“account settings”. In some cases, Safestate may retain copies of your Personaldata if required by law.
You are entitled to obtain information aboutyour Personal data stored and handled by Safestate at no cost by contactingSafestate support.
You may decline to share certain Personaldata with us, in which case we may not be able to provide you some of thefeatures and functionality of the Service. You are always able to opt out fromcommercial communication.
You may under certain circumstances requestfrom us to restrict the processing of your personal data. Please note that thisright is not unconditional. Therefore, an attempt to invoke the right might notlead to action from us.
Data portability
You may request a copy of the Personal datathat we have stored about you by sending a request to Safestate.
If you have a shared Safestate account, youradministrator may be able to; access Information in and about your sharedaccount, restrict, or access Information that you have provided or that is madeavailable to you when using the account, and control how your shared accountmay be accessed or deleted.
Safestate will take adequate technical andorganizational security measures to ensure that your Personal data is notmisused, lost, or unlawfully accessed. If you have any questions about securityregarding the service, you can contact Safestate at support@Safestate-SAF-v2.
Since Safestate do not collect or determinethe use of such Personal data contained in the Service by you as a client, orthat is created automatically as part of you using the Service (“Client data”),Safestate should not be considered a data controller for such Client data anddoes not have the associated responsibilities under the European Union’sGeneral Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679).
